Entertainer, Senior Citizen, Comedian, Master of One-Liners

Laughter is said to be a powerful emotional tonic to lift the spirits of everyone, particularly seniors. It promotes a more positive outlook on life.
For an hour, or even a brief moment, we can experience moments of joy and hearty laughter, putting aside, even for a moment, any challenges, aches and pains and hardships they are feeling.
“Held Back by Nothing Means Never Saying Never” is filled with heartwarming examples of situations every family with a child with disabilities can relate to and draw important guidelines from. If you re able to use just one idea from this book, it could dramatically improve the chances of a successful future for your child.”
– Dr. James Israel, Chief of Medical Staff / Vice President Medical Affairs (Retired), Orthopedic Surgeon (Retired), Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario –

Our well-being gets a lift by sharing laughter and feeling connected to other attendees in attendance.
For seniors, laughter and humour shared with others improves their quality of life, a type of stress relief.
“I have had the pleasure of knowing John for a long time. He is a natural speaker who uses humour and personality to make his audience feel comfortable and open to his message.”
– Gerry Mills, Past President, Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club –

Enjoying life, comedy, and joking was an activity John embraced several years ago. As a kid he was always the one to make people laugh on the spur of the moment. As an adult he has
always been the one to add one-liners to the conversations at any moment, and without thinking about it.
He has performed at many venues including fall fairs, entertainment parks, television and bars.
The highlight of his impressive foray into comedy was appearances at Lulu’s Roadhouse, considered to be Canada’s largest Roadhouse. Lulu’s appeared in the Guinness Book of Records as having the World’s Longest Bar.
“John is a master of one-liners.”
– Patti Haskel, Director of Education (Retired), Waterloo Region District Board, Kitchener, Ontario –

Now, as a senior, John is back on stage entertaining with endless self-deprecating one-liners.
His deadpan style of humour will have audiences falling off their chairs with side-splitting laughter.
“I’ve known John for many years in his role of public service as an award-winning elected school board trustee, Director of the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club, write, author and Professional Speaker.
As a speaker myself, I have been impressed in his unique ability to instantly come up with humorous one-liners. He has the gift of delivering serious, heartfelt presentations advocating for persons with disabilities, and somehow, instantly inserting hilarious stories, anecdotes or self-deprecating comments, always appropriate for all ages. He is the epitome of the consummate entertainer.”
– Ron Ross, Speaker, City of Waterloo (Retired), Past President, Lions Club of Waterloo –

Note: The material in John’s presentations does not include any material with insults directed at any members of the audience, crude jokes, or foul language.
